Hooked on One Piece. Like whoa.

I mean, I've been loving it since I started watching in April, but ever since I hit the Water 7 arc, I've been hooked. My goodness. It has definitely secured its permanent place in my heart as did DBZ and a couple other older faves of mine.

I actually like it more than Naruto already, since I've long been sick of the chasing-Sasuke theme and other such bullcrap. Don't get me wrong, I still like Naruto, but I just enjoy One Piece so much more. One Piece keeps things fresh, is actually funny, and (thank god) avoids over-angstyness. It has a few shortcomings, but they're nothing in comparison to its awesomeness *_*. Shame on me for avoiding this series for so many years and even badmouthing it the first time I saw it on Cartoon Network.

I'm already finding myself doodling it every now and then. It's definitely a different style from the other anime I've drawn, but I should get the hang of it soon. My biggest problem seems to be just coming up with the idea for a drawing. I'm usually motivated by pairings when I draw, but in One Piece's case, I don't really have a pairing in mind. There's just too much awesome nakama-ness that I could care less about a pairing. This is so different.
